In a world where the demands of daily life often leave little room for creative pursuits, Anecdotes emerges as a beacon for those yearning to infuse their days with art, culture, and the humanities. Our society is filled with individuals who possess creative passions but lack the time to dedicate to them full-time. Additionally, art can often feel inaccessible or cloaked in pretentiousness, making it daunting for many to engage with.

Who We Are
The story of Anecdotes is really the story of our family. We’re two of five children who grew up in suburban Southern California to art-appreciative parents who filled our lives with music, literature, films, and refined home cooking. Culture was a prominent part of our upbringing and something we were taught to aspire to, something we hoped to create within ourselves.
Our experiences both as enthusiasts and in our formal studies has led to productive lives spent seeking beauty as a fruitful source of happiness, meaning, and as an amplifier of all things intellectual, physical, and spiritual. Heaven is surely a Sunday afternoon charcuterie board while watching The Sound of Music, eternal summers with dinner on the terrace, and the sounds of Debussy being played on the piano wafting through the house. Our childhood was a haven of simple pleasures and a yearning to recreate a feeling so utterly timeless.
It’s no wonder then that many of us went on to pursue creative fields in writing, music, and art. While a few of us went down marketing and business paths, we are all connected by this common thread of appreciating beauty and culture. Our creative interests and careers are a daily pursuit, a constant source of enrichment and purpose.
What to Look Forward To
We’re building an art-appreciative community looking to enrich their everyday life through beauty and culture. We have ambitious plans for the community, like hosting dinner parties, concert series, and virtual showcases. We welcome all creatives—musicians, artists, writers, designers, film enthusiasts, photographers, philosophers, and the like—whether you work in your industry full-time or take it up as a hobby.
